    This document presents the codebook for a novel database of tax reforms for Latin America between 1990 and 2004 using the Worldwide Tax Summaries of PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The constraint we face is the interruption of the publication of our main source of information, the PriceWaterhouseCoopers International Tax Summaries, in 2005. This database can be used for studying the political economy of tax reforms in Latin America as it is shown in the accompanying paper “Tax Reforms in Latin America in an Era of Democracy”. Table 1 summarizes all the reforms that have been coded and that are in the accompanying stata dta file. Table 2 presents the detailed reforms.

    The OLAS Simplified GLAAS for LAC dataset provides information on water and sanitation governance in 30 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) from 2018 and 2021. The data is from the UN-Water Global Analysis and Assessment of Sanitation and Drinking-Water (GLAAS), which is a global survey carried out by UN Water and the World Health Organization (WHO) that collects country-level information on provision of water, sanitation, and hygiene services. The survey covers topics like governance, monitoring, finance, and human resources in the sector. This simplified version of the dataset contains information relevant to WASH governance in LAC.     The data collected in this study allows to characterize the diversity in companies in the cities of La Paz, El Alto, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz. This information was collected through a survey conducted during the third quarter of 2023. The objective of the surveys was to obtain a proxy for information that allows characterizing, on the one hand, in a general way the composition of the representation of the various groups in companies; the existence of hiring policies for these diverse groups and the obstacles that companies have faced during the hiring process. To obtain this information, the survey was conducted with the person in charge of human resources or the person in charge of hiring and human talent management.
