    This dataset includes data from surveys conducted for the SPOON (Sustained Program for Improving Nutrition) program containing two rounds of data, the baseline (2018) and the final evaluation of the program (2021) conducted in 76 communities in the department of Baja-Verapaz, Guatemala to a sample of 1628 households with children under 4.5 months and mothers who were in the third trimester of pregnancy at the time of the baseline. The survey includes a broad set of socioeconomic, demographic and nutritional variables. The data sets were anonymized to protect the privacy of the subjects.     This dataset is the main survey created for the publication "Past, Present, and Future of Crime and Violence Observations in Latin America and the Caribbean" (Related Publication Only Available in Spanish). This study examines the creation and evolution of crime and violence observatories in Latin America and the Caribbean, starting from the early 1990s. It explores their historical and conceptual development, maps out 66 observatories across 18 countries, and provides recommendations for their improved design, monitoring, and evaluation. The goal is to enhance their effectiveness in supporting public policies aimed at reducing crime and violence in the region.​

    The data comes from a survey carried out on a sample of 25 intermediate and small cities in Bolivia, carried out in the period 2022. This updates the data from the labor market survey carried out in 2017 in intermediate and small cities that was used for this same analysis in 2020. The main characteristics of companies and the workforce in a post-pandemic context are described, and the training challenges facing the Bolivian labor market are identified. Information on the employment prospects of students in their last year of high school is also included.

    In 2012, the IDB approved a project to support the preparation of a comprehensive public transport system for the metropolitan area of ​​La Paz and El Alto. The project included technical, legal, economic, social and environmental studies. One component was an urban mobility survey, which constitutes the main source of data for the present analysis. Within this framework, we gathered information on the travel patterns and socioeconomic characteristics of residents in June and July 2015. To obtain comparable data and to determine the most common trips, such as from home to work or school and back, we collected data from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and weekends. The sample was collected at the sub-district level (blocks) to cover the districts of La Paz and El Alto, following a random selection process (see Annex 2 for more details).
