Under the IDB Group Impact Framework 2024–2030, the IDB committed to a climate finance target of 45% of total approved volume. In 2024, the IDB met this target, approving US $5.6 billion in climate finance, representing 45% of total approvals. Climate finance refers to financial resources committed to development projects and components that enable activities mitigating or adapting to climate change in developing and emerging economies.
