By Operations Financial Management and Procurement Services Office (VPC/FMP/FMP)
This dataset compiles procurement notices and notifications of contract awards for projects financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). It brings together, in one place, the public procurement notices—general and specific procurement notices, expressions of interest, and related announcements—along with the notices of contract awards for IDB sovereign-guaranteed operations. What the data describe When the IDB finances a project, the goods, works, and services required are procured through open, competitive processes. This dataset records the resulting procurement opportunities and outcomes: the bidding notices that announce upcoming opportunities and invite participation, and the award notifications that record which contracts were ultimately awarded. Together these provide a transparent, structured view of procurement activity across the Bank's portfolio of sovereign-guaranteed operations. Why this matters Open procurement information underpins transparency,...

    By Sanctions Office (SRE/SNC)
The IDB Sanctions List includes firms and individuals that have been sanctioned for engaging in fraudulent, corrupt, collusive, coercive, or obstructive practices—collectively referred to as Prohibited Practices—in violation of the IDB Group’s Sanctions Procedures and anti-corruption policies. These sanctions are designed to prevent and deter Prohibited Practices in IDB Group–financed operations, reinforcing transparency and accountability across development projects. Sanctions may result from: - Decisions by the IDB Group’s Sanctions Officer or Sanctions Committee. - Negotiated Resolution Agreements reached after investigations by the Office of Institutional Integrity (OII). - Cross-debarment under the Agreement for Mutual Enforcement of Debarment Decisions (April 9, 2010), currently adopted by the African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, and World Bank. In accordance with...

By Knowledge and Learning Division (VPS/VPS/KLD); Transport Division (VPS/INE/TSP)
Efficient and reliable transportation is vital to economic growth, inclusive development, and environmental sustainability. A robust, sustainable mobility plan is especially critical in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), where transport and logistics systems lag behind those of advanced economies. These limitations hinder access to essential services, restrict social inclusion, and constrain both competitiveness and productivity (Scholl et al., 2021; Calatayud & Montes, 2021). To support sustainable transport development, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in partnership with the International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie), has developed an Evidence Gap Map (EGM). This EGM synthesizes global research on interventions across key transport domains: regional transportation networks, logistics systems, urban mobility infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks affecting mobility, public transit, and traffic governance.
