  • Survey of firms in intermediate urban areas on the labor market in Bolivia: 2022

    The data comes from a survey carried out on a sample of 25 intermediate and small cities in Bolivia, carried out in the period 2022. This updates the data from the labor market survey carried out in 2017 in intermediate and small cities that was used for this same analysis in 2020. The main characteristics of companies and the workforce in a post-pandemic context are described, and the training challenges facing the Bolivian labor market are identified. Information on the employment prospects of students in their last year of high school is also included.

  • Second round of Coronavirus IDB-Cornell Survey and Panel Data: 2020

    The second round of the IDB/Cornell Coronavirus Survey is a follow-up to the first round of the IDB/Cornell Coronavirus Survey, which collected information related to the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on labor markets, food security, social distancing, and knowledge about the symptoms and forms of contagion of the Coronavirus. The main objective of the second round was to follow up with households participating in the first round, collecting more detailed information on household income and assets, as well as data on beneficiaries of social programs existing before the pandemic, financial inclusion, political preferences, and behaviors related to Covid-19 in general. The data collection procedure for the second round, as well as its dissemination, were carried out in the same way as for the first round.     Data and code associated with the IDB Publication "Grandmothers and the Gender Gap in the Mexican Labor Market". ENESS data is available for 2009, 2013, and 2017. As an accompanying module of the ENOE, it covers all the households covered by the ENOE for two out of the three months in the quarter. Hence, the ENESS covers roughly two-thirds of the ENOE sample for the quarter. The ENESS data includes responses from 209,266 households. These households use public and private daycare providers for 3,991 and 1,177 children under seven years old.

  • IDB/Cornell Coronavirus Survey: 2020

    The IDB/Cornell Coronavirus Survey collects information related to labor market impacts, food security, social distancing, and knowledge of the Covid-19 pandemic through an online survey. The main modules of the questionnaire were standardized across countries to allow data to be pooled and cross-country comparisons to be made. The survey was launched in the first country on March 27, 2020, and most responses were collected during April 2020. Participants were recruited through social media using paid advertising campaigns. The data consists entirely of responses to an online survey and therefore does not collect information on the most vulnerable people, who are likely to lack access to the internet or social media. However, the survey contains information for people from different social strata and subnational regions.
