    By Migration Unit (VPS/SCL/MIG)
This dataset is the result of an experiment conducted in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and published as the book "A Better World for Migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean". This project is joint work between the IDB and UNDP. The databases contain data collected for the impact evaluation of an intervention designed to explore which mechanisms are more effective in changing people's beliefs and attitudes toward migrants. The experiment was conducted in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and consisted of two video interventions. The first video, the informative video, aimed to correct misinformation about the impact of migration by providing accurate information about the size of the migrant population and its characteristics. The second video, an emotive video, intended to appeal to the emotions and empathy of the local population.

    By Fiscal Management Division (VPS/IFD/FMM)
The database allows estimating structural fiscal balances for 20 countries in the region under different assumptions regarding the output gap and commodity structural prices. It is a unique database of its kind since: 1) It takes into consideration the distinct responsiveness of different types of revenues to changes in the output gap: In order to adjust for the impact of the business cycle on revenues, we calculate individual elasticities for each source of revenue (i.e. direct taxes, indirect taxes, revenues from non-renewable resources, etc.). Since the different types of revenues in the region have different sensitivities to changes in the output gap, this disaggregated approach allows for a more fine-tuned adjustment. 2) It includes estimations of SFBs based on output gaps projections available in real time. In addition to giving estimations of the actual SFBs, we provide with estimations of the SFBs that would have resulted should the projections on output gaps available to...

By Social Protection and Labor Markets Division (VPS/SCL/SPL)
The database includes information on the evolution of the number of undergraduate students at universities along the central axis of Bolivia between the periods 2020-2021, according to the type of enrollment (new, enrolled, and graduates). For each of these groups, the evolution of the number of students was shown according to the legal nature of the university, the department, and the area of knowledge. On the other hand, the same information was included for students at technical-level universities. This information allows us to characterize the number and distribution of professionals from both public and private universities in the central axis of the country. The data corresponds to the publication: Urquidi et al. (2023). Labor market survey in Bolivia: Supply 2022 at http://dx.doi.org/10.18235/0005374
