Em que setores \u00e9 investido?  \n\nOs dados revelam descobertas relevantes:  \n- O investimento p\u00fablico da regi\u00e3o subiu de 2,8% para 3,9% do PIB (produto interno bruto) entre os per\u00edodos 2002\u20132006 e 2012\u20132016, ainda que cinco pa\u00edses tenham concentrado a maior parte desse avan\u00e7o.  \n- V\u00e1rios pa\u00edses delegaram mais responsabilidades de investimento aos governos subnacionais: quatro deles j\u00e1 canalizam mais de 50% do total de gastos com investimento p\u00fablico no n\u00edvel local.  \n- Quase metade dos gastos com investimento da regi\u00e3o vai para a infraestrutura de transporte, a habita\u00e7\u00e3o e os servi\u00e7os comunit\u00e1rios \u2014 \u00e1reas decisivas para um crescimento sustent\u00e1vel e para a conectividade regional.  \n\nNo atual cen\u00e1rio de forte restri\u00e7\u00e3o fiscal, o conjunto de dados BDD-GIPAL se mostra um recurso valios\u00edssimo para formuladores de pol\u00edticas, pesquisadores e a sociedade civil.
